Originally from Jamaica, Dr. Dunn is no stranger to beachside locales. That fact made her move to our office all the easier! Since working with us, she’s loved helping patients achieve shiny and pretty smiles. Her training and education attest to this passion as well, not to mention her many years in the dental field. Why Did You Become a Dentist?
Dr. Dunn’s pursuit of dentistry didn’t come from nowhere. Her father and uncle were dentists, and her grandfather was a dental technician. Growing up, she noted the fulfillment they found in their work and sought the same. That choice has largely borne fruit, especially since earning her degrees. Even after a decade in the field, Dr. Dunn enjoys meeting patients and mixing creativity with science. Her career has always felt rich in meaning!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After undergrad at Wesleyan College, Dr. Dunn studied at the University of Maryland’s School of Dentistry. She then did a General Practice Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. At that point, she received advanced training in many dental specialties. Her skills have also sharpened in the years since. Thanks to continuing education, she’s certified in Invisalign and knows a great deal of restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
Outside of the Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When she’s not with patients, Dr. Dunn delights in time with her family. You’ll often find her alongside her husband, Steven, and their three daughters. Together, they love to travel, have fun at the beach, watch movies, and more. As time allows, they’ll also try new restaurants here in the St. Augustine area!
